WATCH BALMORAL STARRING AS HERSELF in a new film! From 23rd April
Young film-making duo Falling Films enjoyed walking past Balmoral, and were first concerned, then interested when the ship disappeared into the Albion Dock. Harry Knight’s “snapshot day” turned into months of fascination, following Balmoral in and out of the dry dock, capturing with her people their part in the love story of “Saving Balmoral for Bristol and Beyond”.
Inspired by the recording of Balmoral’s launch heard at her 75th celebrations, Harry and Maria have produced a film that can be seen in cinemas with maritime links, and where sound can be enjoyed too.
The film is followed by discussion on historic ships, with handouts.
And now the film BALMORAL is being shown during 2025 in towns where the ship has been a special visitor; and may be relevant in other ways…

Beautiful ship and fantastic tours - loved the engine room!
Southville, Bristol

Wildlife spotting was sublime from the ship, porpoises, dolphins, seals, seabirds, stunning views of the Channel and islands, (Steep & Flat Holm) Exmoor Coast and the Great Hangman. Brass band playing, happy crew and passengers!
